Kiev nightlife rocks 7 nights a week. From the late night bars already listed to a wide variety of clubs in Kiev, there’s something for everyone. Your Kiev night can begin at 8pm and end at 7am. This really is the city that never sleeps.
Shooters
Shooters Kiev is without doubt THE happening place for all funloving people who want to let their hair down. Open, and busy, 7 nights a week until 6am, Shooters is known as exciting, safe and friendly. Popular amongst expats and visiting businessmen, it also attracts a good student crowd. Each night has a different theme with the last Saturday of each month being a pyjama party for example. Wednesdays and Sundays are ladies nights……but with a big difference. NO men allowed in until midnight. Professionally run, there’s a chill out area downstairs where you can lounge back in a Harem styled room, and a rocking club area where the music doesn’t stop with regular guest DJs’ taking turns at scratching the discs. Entrance for men is less than $8 on 5 nights a week with Monday and Tuesday being free in. A bucket of Vodka and red bull costs less than $20 on most nights so for fun and value, Shooters is unbeatable.
Azur
Part of the Avalon complex, Azur is very close to Kiev Opera house. It is a mostly retro club over 2 floors and plays music that you can dance to no matter what your age. The barmen have a Teddy boy look and all the waitresses dress like Marilyn Monroe. The crowd is made up of many singles, all out to party. Tables and booths are everywhere but you need to book a few days in advance. They have a deposit system which is usual in Kiev, whereby there is a “minimum spend” for a table. Prices depend on the table size.
PaTiPa
Located just off the main street of Kreschatyk close to the Dnipro hetel, PaTiPa has become a favourite venue for the younger crowd. Diffeent themes for different nights with R&B on Thursdays and 70’s and 80’s night on Wednesdays, PaTiPa still has a good ambience and crowd.
Caribbean
The only Latin American dance venue in Kiev, Caribbean puts on amazing spectacle shows on weekend nights with a troupe of excellent dancers doing different dance shows for your entertainment. It’s best to book a table here and incorporate your night with a good meal with a Latin theme. Entrance is not cheap but with the shows as good as they are it’s good value for money.
Arena disco
Located on the 4th floor of the Arena complex, the disco still retains it’s reputation as one of the top spots to go to in Kiev. Attracting the bold and the beautiful due to it’s relatively high entrance fee, the ‘face control” policy ensures only beautiful girls are allowed entry. Arena disco has an exciting weekly programme for guest DJ’s and some nights it can fill up to capacity.
Decadence
This venue is a combination of restaurant and nightclub with the disco element open only at weekends. The music and crowd are acceptable enough with enough eye candy at the bar area to satisfy everyone.
